Background
TWCC is a member based organization registered in December 2005 as Non Profit making entity. The chamber’s vision is to become a strong women’s apex organization promoting the growth of women enterprises in Tanzania.
The mission of the organization is to promote women’s enterprises which are competitive locally, regionally and internationally.

The objectives/Strategies of the organization for achieving its mission are basically three;
i. Advocacy and lobbying to influence policies and regulatory environment conducive for the growth and development of women owned businesses.
ii. Developing the capacities of women owned businesses for growth.
iii. Developing a strong network of women enterprise for information sharing learning and experience sharing

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for the general management and administration of the staff and resources of the company and is responsible for implementing the Organization’s strategic plan and annual work plans. The Executive Director shall be responsible for reporting progress of the Organization to the Board on quarterly basis and as Directed by the Board.

Specific duties and responsibilities
1. Implementation of the strategic plan, monitoring business performance and taking appropriate action to ensure the Organization achieves its goals.
2. Overseeing and ensuring all Organization activities are in line with policies and procedures stipulates in the company’s policies
3. Overall responsibility of day to day project activities
4. Reporting to the Board on all matters relating to running of the Organization that require attention of the Board.
5. Facilitating resource mobilization for the expansion of the Organization
6. Communicating with partners, members and other stakeholders about the Organization and its activities
7. Ensure that staffs comply with career obligations and implement their roles according to the job requirements.
8. Ensure organization has in place financial and operational compliance control systems
9. Attend different meetings to represent TWCC
10. Liaise with donors and development partners, write proposal and fundraising
11. Ensure that the statutory obligations of the Organization are met
12. Any other duties as assigned by the employer from time to time

Key qualifications, experience and competencies
• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Human resource or any other discipline with appropriate Management skills from a recognized university.
• Experience in Project Management will be an added advantage
• At least five (5) years of proven experience at senior management position
• Experience in Budgeting and financial Management
• Experience in lobbying, Advocacy and Fundraising
• Strong leadership skills, team work and interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English (verbal and written)
• Strategic focus and Managing change
• Problem solving and decision making skills
• Integrity
• Computer literacy
