Coca-Cola Kwanza Calls for Youth Applications
Dar es Salaam Coca-Cola Kwanza (CCK) would like to invite eligible entrepreneurs aged 18-35 based in Tanzania, to apply for the “Chipsika Kiajira na Coke” programme that will be taking place on 27 May 2023.
More than 400 young entrepreneurs in Tanzania will receive the necessary training and tools to build successful food vendor businesses.
Successful applicants will receive a gas stove, gas cylinder, food cabinet, cooler, kitchen clothing and customer benches, as well as training through the mentorship programme. Partners in the project are ORYX Gas Tanzania and the Institute of Social Work.
“We have committed to empowering youth in our value chain through a youth economic inclusion programme,” said Salum Nassor, CCK Public Affairs, Communication and Sustainability Director.
“We will focus on youth in Dar es Salaam who serve chips, a common and popular food in Tanzania, and see how they conduct their businesses in that area,” Nassor added.
According to Nassor, through the programme, the Coca-Cola Beverages Africa subsidiary aimed to create greater shared opportunity for the business and the communities it served across the value-chain. “Opportunity is more than just money, it’s about a better future for people and their communities everywhere on the African continent. People matter, and we believe in doing business the right way by following our values and working toward solutions that benefit us all.”
