GEITA WOMEN NETWORKING BREAKFAST

The Women Entrepreneurs Monthly Networking event held in Geita brought together 100 women and young entrepreneurs with the aim of promoting entrepreneurship and fostering economic growth in the Geita region. The important event took place at the GEDECO Hall under the management of the Tanzania Women Chamber of Commerce (TWCC) Geita Branch.

Ms. Evelyne Bwire, the Secretary of TWCC Geita Branch, delivered a welcoming speech to the women entrepreneurs at the special conference, which aimed to open up investment opportunities through the financial services provided by Azania Bank. Ms. Bwire expressed TWCC’s commitment to driving change and promoting economic development in the Geita community.

The guest of honor at the conference was Mr. Adam Kobelo, the Acting Manager of Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) in Geita Region, representing the District Administrative Secretary of Geita, Hon. Thomas Dimme. Mr. Adam delivered his speech, emphasizing the importance of women entrepreneurs reporting any obstacles they encounter in tax matters to the Manager’s Office so that appropriate measures can be taken to address and eliminate those obstacles.

The main sponsors of the conference were Azania Bank, and the Manager of Azania Bank Geita, Ms. Rhoda Baluhya, provided information about various bank products specifically tailored for women entrepreneurs in the Geita region. These products include the “Hodari Account,” designed exclusively for women, as well as Group Loans offered by Azania Bank. Women entrepreneurs were encouraged to utilize these banking services to benefit from financial opportunities.

There were also guest speakers from other government institutions such as SIDO, TARURA, and Tanzania Forest Services (TFS), who explained the services they provide to women entrepreneurs in the Geita region.

Therefore, this Women Entrepreneurs Monthly conference in Geita aimed to bring together women and young entrepreneurs, allowing them to discuss and share their ideas and experiences in promoting entrepreneurship.
