TWCC meets with the Honorary Consul of The United Republic of Tanzania Mumbai-India to discuss Trade Cooperation and Women Empowerment

On 17th August 2023, the Leadership of the Tanzania Women Chamber of Commerce (TWCC), led by Chairperson Ms. Mercy Sila, met with the Honorary Consul of The United Republic of Tanzania Mumbai-India H.E. Nayan Patel, to discuss trade cooperation between Tanzania and India. The meeting aimed to enable women entrepreneurs to access more markets in India.

During the meeting, TWCC leaders, Ms. Mercy Sila, Chair person and Executive Director, Ms. Mwajuma Hamza, along with Honorary Consul of The United Republic of Tanzania Mumbai-India Patel, discussed the business opportunities between the two countries and how to utilize them for the benefit of women entrepreneurs.

H.E. Nayan Patel called on TWCC to continue strategies that empower women to fully participate in the country’s economy and ensure they have the right market opportunities. He also pledged that the embassy will continue to provide support and endorse efforts to strengthen the trade relations between Tanzania and India.

This collaborative initiative between TWCC and the Honorary Consul of The United Republic of Tanzania Mumbai-India stands as a pivotal stride towards galvanizing business expansion and fostering a more pronounced role for women in propelling the nation’s economic prosperity.
