TWCC Training for Women Entrepreneurs on the Rules, Procedures, and Laws of Conducting Business Within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA)-Morogoro Region,Tanzania.

On January 23rd and 24th,TWCC conducted a training for women entrepreneurs on the rules, procedures, and laws of conducting business within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). Ms. Beatrice Njawa, Assistant Regional Administrative Secretary, inaugurated the event at Morena Hotel, urging women to capitalize on the free market. She applauded TWCC for empowering women and thanked the government for supporting women entrepreneurs.

The training covered various business aspects to more than 120 women and youth including importance of adhering to standards from the facilitator from the Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS), the significance of Proper Use of Measurements in Product Packaging to ensures prevention of deception regarding the quantity packaged in products, which helps consumers to receive value for their money, and producers avoiding losses due to over-packaging from measurement agents and much more from other facilitators from the Ministry of Industry and Trade,SIDO, BRELA, TRA, TCCIA, GS1, and the Office of the Government Chemist, along with financial institutions, to facilitate access to funding for entrepreneurs – UTT AMIS.

Overall, the event highlighted TWCC and government commitment to empowering women and youth in Morogoro and Tanzania’s business landscape.
